Cloud service: One Drive (no fear of loosing data, lots of storage for whole family 6 accounds 1TB each, affoardable) backs up auto matically, phone never gets full, even if you loose all your devices, no data is lost. If you buy a new device, just login and all your data is back, laptop and phone's. No need to copy paste ever data ever. Even if you save something on laptop, you can continue or access file on any device, even if you click a picture on your phone, it is visible from laptop folder or any other devie of yours. No need to worry, perfect sync.
Devices:
Phone: I wish had skipped buying a saperate camera and got a Google Pixel or a good Samsung.
Laptop: Samsung Book 5 (affoardable, mack book like build quality, good battery life) cheapes samsung book starts from 40k
I was using Acer nitro 5 before it served me well, I can bare call it a laptop, but samsung is a pleasure to use, battery catually lasts many hours and charges via type C, so I only carry one small charger for all my devices. (Don't worry if your devices branded you can use 1 charger for all, it won't burn) but don't use this charger for cheap chinese stuff like a table lamp, etc.
I am currently travelling otherwise I would have a monitor (27" is decent) at home which I just plug laptop via hdmi, and a bluetooth keyboard and mouse for home setup.
Logitech: Pebble bluetooth mouse and keyboard (on the go I only use the mouse) Yes blutooth, no stupid USB dongle to plug in, haven't need to change battery ever since I bought it. (i miss the num pad but, love the form factor, and it has never malfunctioned or failed, super reliable like a hero honda).
Tablet: I have Samsung S9FE (perfect no complains, maybe bigger screen would be a plus, but this is very much good enough) works as a second screen without wires for samsung laptops (but I never use it). I mostly use laptop these days, but it's very Good alternative for studying if you don't hava a laptop with you, and Samsung DeX is better than windows in many ways. I also use it for poetry and notes taking in class. While I alsways carry a physical pen and paper notebok as I find it more orienting. Table notes: space saver, carry many notebooks digitally, never lost notes all backed up, cleaner since you can erase digital pen and copy paste. Also very good for writing on PDFs.
Apps Stack:
Web Browser - Mozilla Firefox (Android and Desktop) You can acces dektop tabs opened on mobile if you want. Also opensource and feature rich.
Why mozilla- I was using Microsoft edge by default, but once I asked co pilot to sumurize wht's on my page, and realized the whole browser app is basically spying me and can see all my screen pages I visit emails itype everything all the time. (it says it cannot read your eamils, but it can see your screen, so it can read your eamils it just won't tell you that). Mozilla is open sourse, and hence you or anyone on the internet can see the code and hence public has a check on whats being done by the software, and it is genuinly offer more control, privacy better adblocking features, etc etc. feature rich.
AI assitant - GPT for learning and research (it's great most of the times, but it's still stupid sometimes)
Tasks setup - Gemini ( only for setting up events and tasks), as you can type in like a chat to setup events reminders and tasks on Google Calender and Google tasks (all integrated and just chat like a personal assistant).
Keep notes- for quick notes.
Standard notes on desktop to expand notes when needed.
Planning- notthing works better than pen and paper. Also don't plan too much, but just what's neccessary. See when you plan too much you are actually being unproductive. Best is to meditate for 10-20min. minimum once a day, all plans become absolutely clear in front of you. Also don't use phone before or after your meditation, if you use before meditating, it will keep you from actually going into meditation, and if u use afterwards it will disorient you and steal your clarity gained. I have sucessfully limited instagram use to only 5-10 min. a day, mainly to reach out to someone, never watch anyones posts, your loved ones who truely matter send them to you personally on whatsapp not show off to the world.
Whatsapp alernative I am asking everyone to switch to - Signal (open source) works same way and better features, no facebook or meta tracks you. source code is publicly visible. Whatsapp and non open source actually track you no matter how much they promise, it's fake privacy they market.
Personal Products:
1. Amla, reetha shekekai for Shampoo - works better than any shapoo you can purchase of any brand (trust me). 3 Ingredients (mixed powder or purchase khadi's premade shampoo) this also via Khadi you support local village industry.
2. Body soap - Multani mitti/plain watter with natural scrubber. You can also use on hair (since it is not really mitti it is a very soft clay).
3. Hair oils- there are many (brigraj etc.) but for everyday i use cocconut oil only, simple and hair are very soft, note: you have to massage your scalpe not rub it like crazy. Conditioner- not required if you don't use soap, you skin is left clean yet moisturised. also if req apply coconut oil, and aplus, it kills virusses if you have some on your palms
4. Tooth paste - Neem stick, or haldi+namak+ oil please refer Rajiv Dixit ji (must recommended). I feel sad no one recognises him, all these people getting padmashree now just reapeating exatly what he had said when he was alive. He single handedly restored the handycraft- pottery "mitti ke bartan" for cooking industry creating a huge market solely by his speaches. His Major works- Jaivik farming, nitrogen fixing organisms, not external chemicals (exposed the WWII chemical arms companies swithching to sell same chemicals for agriculture, since war had stopped and material was to be sold, these same companies are the ones who make non seed producing grains, and run soil testing ( yeah, stupid). knowledge is health-care, not hospitals. Whatever he has said for health care, perfectly aligns with Padma shri Dr. B.M Hegde.
Recommended Aurvedic books- DK book.
Wrist watch- I don't wear one because I don't have one, if you want you can gift me (but please ask me before if someone has already gifted me).
Culture & Spiritual practice: Sahajayoga, It is not like people have something to follow beacause it's cool or trendy, it's not like just another one of those. It is for true seekers, and integrates as one global culture (with no money or profit invovled, that's why you don't see any marketing about it like others). This is the one and there is no doubt humanity is headed for doom without it.
